What You Need to Know About Leiomyosarcoma

Kristen Ganjoo MD - Stanford University Medical Center, Palo Alto

Dr. Ganjoo is a medical oncologist and Director of the Stanford Sarcoma Program. She has treated hundreds of sarcoma patients with a special interest in leiomyosarcoma. She is very involved in clinical trials to find new drug agents for leiomyosarcoma.

Retroperitoneal Leiomyosarcoma

William Tseng MD - City of Hope, Duarte

Dr. Tseng is a surgical oncologist with extensive experience and research on retroperitoneal leiomyosarcoma. He puts a priority on ensuring his patients understand the details of their disease so they can fully participate in making decisions about their treatment.

Immunotherapy and Leiomyosarcoma

Bartosz Chmielowski, MD, PhD - University of California, Los Angeles

Dr. Chmielowski is a medical oncologist and his clinical and laboratory research concentrates on the development of new therapies for patients with melanoma, skin cancers and sarcoma. He also studies new molecularly targeted agents in both sarcoma and melanoma.

Clinical Trials for Leiomyosarcoma

Sant Chawla, MD - Sarcoma Oncology Center, Santa Monica

Dr. Chawla is a medical oncologist with extensive involvement in developmental/experimental therapeutics and Phase I-IV clinical trials. He has conducted over 60 clinical trials for cancer drugs now approved by the FDA and EMA. Throughout his career, Dr. Chawla has been involved in teaching residents and fellows.

Leiomyosarcoma Research

Mark Agulnik, MD - University of Southern California, Los Angeles

Dr. Agulnik is a medical oncologist who specializes in the treatment of sarcomas, head and neck cancer and bone cancer.  He is co-leader of the Translational and Clinical Sciences (TACS) Program, whose mission is to discover and develop innovative treatments and biomarkers to improve clinical outcomes for cancer patients.

Healing with Hypnotherapy

Mikaila Henderson - Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist (CHHt) - Pasadena

Mikaila became a certified hypnotherapist after her bout with stage 3 non-hodgkins lymphoma. She was told she would never be cancer free and she is now coming up on 10 years of remission. She practiced hypnosis and other healing modalities to help her through her cancer journey. Mikaila believes in what she does and the power we all hold within ourselves to make the necessary changes in creating a healthier, happier, more fulfilling life.
