CENTS FINANCIAL PLANNING FOR CANCER provides the services of a Certified Financial Planner at no cost to cancer patients and caregivers. In addition, this free nationwide program comes with a personal patient advocate to help sort out health insurance and other cancer-related payment issues.

ONE UP ON CANCER Direct financial assistance grants for gamer adults in the United States currently undergoing any type of cancer treatment and having trouble covering medical expenses. Grants are paid directly to the agency or program providing the medical services not to the patient.

·       Co-Pay Relief Program – This program provides assistance for fees not covered by insurance and was expanded to include sarcoma patients. Patients must financially and medically qualify for the program.

TRIAGE CANCER   Provides free education on the practical and legal issues of insurance, employment and finances that arise after a cancer diagnosis.

IRS VOLUNTEER INCOME TAX ASSISSTANCE (VITA) The IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program provides free tax return preparation and tax advice for people with disabilities including cancer.

A BETTER BALANCE Free legal advice on workplace issues for USA residents experiencing a medical issue in the family. This national nonprofit can help with family and medical leave issues, medical accommodation requests, discrimination claims, and more. CARING INFO - FREE ADVANCE DIRECTIVES free online state-specific advance directives. An Advance directive is a legal document that enables you to let other people know what care-related choices you have made and what is important to you.

FREEWILL LEGAL DOCUMENTS Simple, free online tool to create state-specific wills, trust documents, advance healthcare directives, and more. All estate plans made using FreeWill are legal and specifically tailored to your jurisdiction, and all documents can be updated when plans change.

AARP ADVANCE DIRECTIVES LEGAL FORMS Free state-specific legal forms to make your wishes regarding your care known and to appoint someone to make sure those wishes are carried out. Forms are available for all states and are free for everyone regardless of age. You do not need to be an AARP member to download and complete these documents.

UNITED WAY FREE TAX FILING PROGRAM Available for US residents who meet certain income guidelines (currently $66,000 or less for individuals).

NATIONAL CANCER LEGAL SERVICES NETWORK For people affected by cancer. Legal services programs include assisting with insurance disputes, obtaining public benefits and housing, resolving employment issues, and quality-of-care concerns.

THE PET ASSISTANCE & WELLNESS PROGRAM (PAW) assists people undergoing cancer treatment with the challenges of keeping their cat or dog at home. 800-813-HOPE (4673).

NCCN VIRTUAL REIMBURSEMENT RESOURCE ROOM NCCN helps patients afford technology for virtual appointments.

THE SAMFUND Provides grants to young adult cancer survivors (ages 21-39) to help cover the costs of post-treatment financial needs including medical bills, car insurance/premiums, gym memberships, continuing education, mental health expenses, and rent/mortgage payments. Grants applications are accepted in the spring and the fall.

THE SALVATION ARMY Provides help with utility bills, utility deposits, rent and mortgage payments, prescription medications, food, and clothing needs for families in financial need.

ONE CATALYST FOUNDATION provides grants to USA residents who are experiencing financial hardship related to a major medical crisis (including cancer). Eligibility is based on financial need and available funding. Documentation of medical diagnosis and finances are required.

KAMM CARES FOUNDATION GRANT Provides grants to cancer patients in the USA to help cover household expenses during treatment. Eligible expenses include food, travel, transportation, childcare, and more. Proof of diagnosis is required and funds are based on financial need.

THE TIFFANY FOUNDATION GRANT Free financial assistance grants to patients in the USA who have been diagnosed and are in the fight against any form of cancer. Grants of up to $650 are awarded based on financial need and current available funding. Grants cover rent, medical expenses, transportation costs, child care, and other related expenses.

FAITH SUPPORT MINISTRY GRANT Provides grants to adults in the USA who have been diagnosed with cancer, or who have been in remission for six months or less, and families who have recently lost a loved one due to cancer. Eligibility is based on demonstrated need and proof of diagnosis will be required. Amounts vary depending on funding and personal circumstances.

FIGHT 4 CURE Provides financial assistance to ALL adult cancer patients, both women and men. Cancer patients will receive a one-time $100 grant to help offset expenses such as food, housing, utilities, etc. There are no income criteria to qualify for this grant.

CANCER RELIEF FOUNDATION GRANTS This teen-led organization provides financial assistance to cancer patients in the USA who are in active treatment and have demonstrated financial need.

VITAL OPTIONS INTERNATIONAL Awards monetary grants for food, housing, transportation, and other expenses to those facing significant financial hardship due to serious conditions including cancer. (800) 518-2354

CANCER CARTEL GRANT PROGRAM Provides grants to cancer patients in the USA who are either in active treatment or have had cancer treatment within the last 12 months. This national grant program offers funding for unmet expenses including housing, household expenses, food, travel (fuel/lodging), and childcare.

MODEST NEEDS provides short-term financial assistance to individuals and families in temporary crisis. The amount awarded varies based on applicant circumstance but according to their website averages between $750.00 and $1,250. (844) 667-3776

CANCER-RELATED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH FUND Grant program that funds the unreimbursed costs associated with counseling and transportation needed to manage cancer-related behavioral health issues. Applicants must be insured residents of the USA with a total household income not to exceed 500% of Federal Poverty Level. Maximum award is $2000 per year. (800) 675-8416

FAMILY REACH EMERGENCY RELIEF GRANT FUND Available to cancer patients in the USA to cover non-medical, everyday living expenses such as mortgage payments, utilities, groceries, and transportation costs. Applicants must be within one year of last treatment and have demonstrated financial need.

FIGHTERS FOR LIFE Provides grants to cancer patients in the USA to help with the costs of living including mortgage, rent, utilities, food and gas while undergoing treatment. Fighters 4 Life donates directly to the company in which a bill is due. Assistance for food and gas will be in the form of gift cards. BRIGHT SPOT NETWORK GRANT Offers free annual grants up to $500 for cancer patients in the USA active treatment who are caring for at least one child age 6 and under.  Funds are available to cover things like living expenses, childcare, healthcare and more.

HELP ME BOUNCE Grants for families in the USA experiencing financial hardship due to critical medical illness. All applicants must work with their hospital social worker who will provide proof of health status. Grants are sourced from crowdfunding platform. 100% of donations go to recipient.

MOM BOMB GRANT PROGRAM A national nonprofit organization that provides mothers in the USA facing financial hardship due to serious illness like cancer with grants to help with household expenses including meals, childcare, housecleaning and laundry services.

CRLF GRANT Cancer Research & Life Foundation is a national nonprofit that provides grants to cancer patients in the USA to help with treatment-related out-of-pocket costs for things like airfare, housing, and healthcare expenses. Eligibility is based on financial need.

KEEP SWIMMING FOUNDATION GRANT Provides relief to families of critically ill patients in the USA who require extended inpatient medical care at an accredited hospital through grants. Hospital stays must exceed 21 days.

NET WISH Provides direct and immediate assistance to families and individuals in the USA who require a modest helping hand of $200.00 and have been doing so since 2002. This program is available to all US residents who have unmet financial needs. Grants are provided in the form of pre-paid credit cards.

ANDRE SOBEL RIVER OF LIFE offers an annual essay award for survivors of catastrophic illness.

CANCER IN THE FAMILY RELIEF FUND Grants ranging from $300 to $500 for a child’s extracurricular activities during his or her parent’s cancer treatment.
