Lynn Quilty, a true angel has returned to Heaven. Lynn Quilty, beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, and grandmother, passed peacefully on Tuesday, December 29th with her family close by her side. Lynn left this world in the same manner in which she lived: with strength, dignity, grace, selflessness, and peace.
Lynn is survived by her loving husband Kevin; sons Jim (wife Sherry) and Sean (wife Ashley); daughter Kate (husband Patrick); brother Bill Kitley; mother Thea Kitley; and her treasured grandchildren, Connor and Logan.
Lynn was born in Port Washington, New York on July 20, 1952, where she attended Paul D. Schreiber High School. She later attended the State University of New York, Oneonta where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.
Lynn dedicated her life to raising her three children and loved nothing more than spending time with her two grandsons, Connor and Logan. She lived her life spreading joy and her positive spirit to her family and many friends.
Christmas was by far Lynn’s favorite time of year, and she was able to spend this last holiday surrounded by her family and loved ones. Lynn will be missed more than words can express, but her legacy of selflessness, generosity, happiness and love of life will carry on through the lives of those she so gracefully touched.
A celebration of Lynn Quilty’s life will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 2nd at the St. Andrew Catholic Church, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA 18940. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lynn’s honor to: LeioMyoSarcoma Direct Research or the Fox Chase Cancer Center to fund research of Margaret von Mehren MD Sarcoma Research.
