The Aimee Standley Memorial Fund

The Aimee Standley Memorial Fund
Born December 28, 1965 and taken by LMS March 5, 2009.

Aimee lived in Durango, Colorado for over 25 years and most recently in Farmington, New Mexico. Aimee lived a life full of variety. She had been an administrative assistant, an office manager, an interior designer. She owned her own day care for 5 years. As a volunteer firefighter and EMT, Aimee taught classes in emergency medical technique. She participated and later organized Safety Town to teach kids street safety and visited grade schools as E.M.I.L.Y. the clown and later as Flicka the clown teaching fire safety.

Her marriage to Kurt Standley in 2007 was one of the happiest times in her life. She and Kurt frequently took their Harley on the road. She was able to feel the wind and see the country. Photos of her on these trips show a wide smile and bright eyes.

Motorcycle riding was not her only passion. She was passionate about her children, Tony, TJ, Alexa and Ashlee, and about her bonus child, Kaitlyn. She spent hours with them baking cookies and taking them places.

Even through the LMS, Aimee was always concerned for everyone else’s needs. We love her and will miss her.
