LMSarcoma Direct Research Foundation (LMSdr) invites investigators to submit grant applications for research studying specifically leiomyosarcoma. The Foundation is particularly interested in basic science and translational research aiming for a better understanding of the molecular biology of both uterine & non-uterine leiomyosarcoma, eventually leading to improvement of diagnostic tools, discovery of new prognostic markers and novel therapeutic approaches to extend survival and quality of life.
This funding is intended primarily as seed money for promising new work. It is not for supporting research where funding has either lapsed or has been previously disapproved. Final application must include a confirmation from your institution’s fiscal manager none of the funds awarded will be used to support the salary of the investigator or the facilities and administrative costs of our institution.
